Copper Niisüü Limited Partnership

CNLP is the business operations entity of the White River Development Corporation (WRDC) whose purpose is to identify, develop, establish and manage, through entrepreneurial joint venture partnerships, viable and ongoing business activities which, in turn, generate other business ventures and capital funding that provide growth opportunities for the WRDC.

Through the CNLP, the WRDC is interested in establishing joint venture partnerships to businesses wishing to pursue their interests within the asserted Traditional Territory of the White River First Nation. Business ventures will primarily focus on the areas of Renewable Energy, Industry Services, Rental Services and Tourism which the WRDC believes show the greatest promise for sustainable business ventures for the WRDC, the people of the WRFN and the Yukon Territory.

Renewable Energy

CNLP has established a solar panel farm (see Projects/Renewable Energy) for the community of Beaver Creek. Also under consideration is a regional electric vehicle charging station, electric power storage capabilities, and the distribution of surplus heat reserves to community buildings – all of which move away from dependence on fossil fuels.

Industry Services

CNLP has joint venture partners (see Partners) who provide support services to mining, resource exploration, tourism, logistics, expediting, air transportation services, regional data mining and analytics, and regional firefighting services.

Rental Services

CNLP provides equipment rental services such as boats, snowmobiles, trucks and trailers to various business interests in the region in support of their operational needs. This business has great potential for expansion to become a supplies hub for the region.

Tourism

Contributing to the expansion of the tourism industry in the Yukon, CNLP hopes to engage in various initiatives to educate visitors to the Yukon of our cultural heritage as Indigenous Peoples, the respectful occupation of the land, as well as the effective sustainable uses of land-based resources.
